Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

New to Remix?

Welcome! We always love to see new faces in the studio! Contact us if you have more questions you do not see answered here and be sure to check out Where to Start for more information.

Do you offer a membership?

Yes! Our membership is definitely worth it if you can make at least two Remix classes a week. Members receive unlimited classes, 10% off all retail, access to special events and a free one-on-one with a registered dietician. Check out our membership page for more details.

Do you offer childcare?

Yes!! Here at Remix, we decided to mix up the typical child care center you find in gym settings. Our Lil’Remix Playroom is not only a space children, ages 3 months and up, can feel safe, comfortable and have fun, but also one that fosters learning.

Do I need experience prior to taking a Remix class?

At Remix, we do not require any prior experience* or specific fitness level. Our clients range from first time exercisers to long time fitness fans. We offer modifications and challenges in every class so that each individual will be appropriately challenged. You will get a personalized experience from beginning to end.

*Be sure to consult with your physican before starting any new workout.

What can I expect during a Remix class?

Expect to sweat, build muscle, listen to amazing music and walk out of class feeling strong and confident. Our Remix classes with the exception of our 30 minute Remixed Flex class are all 45 minutes long and can be tailored to meet any fitness level.

How often should I Remix?

We recommend committing to Remix 4-5 times a week for fast-acting results.* Unlike other studios that offer one genre of exercise, Remix offers an assortment of workouts. You do not need to supplement with other workouts. If you choose to participate in class every day, we suggest that you alternate between cardio and strength training or take one of our Remixed Method classes.

*Results may vary.

Do I have to book class ahead of time?

In order to guarantee a spot in one of our Remix classes, we strongly recommend booking your classes ahead of time. Simply click on our class schedule to reserve your spot or use the Mindbody app for easy, on-the-go booking.

If you have children, please reserve your child’s spot in our Lil’Remix Playroom ahead of time.

What if I’m late or miss class?

We ask that you please cancel within 8 hours of class time or there is a cancellation fee of $15. We do understand that life happens; however, so please let us know if something comes up!

How does the waitlist work?

If someone cancels their spot, the next person on the waitlist will be moved into the class. You will receive an email informing you that you are now in the class.

What should I wear?

Wear something that you’ll feel comfortable moving and sweating in! For our Method, Sculpt and Cardio classes, we recommend wearing sneakers, and for our Barre and Flex classes we recommend sticky socks.

You can grab a pair of StickyBe socks right in our studio along with a lot of other amazingly stylish workout gear for both men and women from lululemon, Style Reform, Noli and Kitsch in addition to our own branded gear.

Can I take REMIX classes if I’m pregnant?

If you have been taking Remix classes regularly prior to pregnancy, Remix can continue to be a safe and effective exercise option while pregnant. Each person’s pregnancy is different, so we suggest that you consult with your doctor to ensure he/she is comfortable with you continuing to take class.

Can I do REMIX with an injury?

Please clear your injuries with a physician before you participate in a Remix class. We are not doctors; however, we are known to offer modifications for common injuries. We want to help make your Remix experience a great one, both safe and worthwhile when ready.

How old do you need to be to take Remix class?

Anyone 13 years of age or older is welcome to participate in a Remix class. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you will need a parent or legal guardian to fill out a waiver before you take class.

Nutrition – What should I be doing?

We are not nutritionists or dietitians; however, we do believe in leading a healthy and nutritious lifestyle. We believe in:

…Practicing portion control, eating a variety of nutritious foods (plenty of fruits, vegetables and lean proteins), drinking water, limiting sugar and sweets, not getting caught up in fad diets, not excessively depriving yourself (ends up doing more harm than good), getting enough sleep, AND exercising aka Remixing!

Since we believe nutrition is such an important piece in one’s overall health and wellness, we offer a FREE one-on-one consultation with our very own registered dietician and instructor Nicole when you become a member of Remix.

We are pleased to announce our collaboration with My Chef Catering to bring delicious and nutritious meals and snacks to fuel you before and after your workouts. Check out our Nutrition page for more information!

Do you host private events and parties?

Work hard, play hard is our motto! Birthday parties, Mom’s Night Outs, Office Bonding Events are just a few of the types of parties we have hosted at Remix. Please contact us to schedule your own event!
