1. Tell us about you… background, family, work, etc.
I’m originally from Ridgewood, NJ but now live in Maple Glen.I have two kids Juliana 8 and Ava 3 that LOVE coming to Remix kids club! I’m a Weight Loss Counselor at Tivity Health in Fort Washington.

2. How and why did you start taking Remix classes?
My best friend bought me my first class for my 40th birthday in January as a way for me to help manage my stress level after a series of unfortunate life events. I was looking for a healthier way to deal with life’s challenges other than drinking wine and eating cookies/ice cream/cupcakes all the time. I had lost weight after my two children but still just felt constantly tired, unhealthy and unmotivated.

For me, fitness isn’t about just fitting into that bathing suit or being a certain number on the scale. It’s about being strong- mentally and physically. You look your best on the outside when you feel your best on the inside. It’s all about being the best version of yourself. 

3. What do you love about Remix classes?
I love the variety- they have it all. Some days you feel like being a fierce ballerina for Remixed Barre. Some days you want to punch the air in Remixed Kickboxing or sweat it out in Remixed Spin. Some days you need a relaxing stretch with Remixed Yoga or Flex. Some days you want a mix of everything in my favorite class- The Remix Method!Also- childcare! My kids love to come to Remix kids club and I feel relaxed knowing they are just a room away while I work out. No scrounging for babysitters!

4. What are the changes you’ve seen in yourself?
I’ve noticed so many positive results all around. Physically, I am stronger. I can chase my kids without being out of breath and carry my youngest without straining myself. I have chronic back pain and strengthening my core has helped me manage that pain. Mentally, I’m managing my stress better than ever. I’ve noticed better sleep and in return more mental clarity. It is the best therapy! 

5. What made you want to become a Remix Ambassador? 
I love Remix! There is such a great mix of men and women, all ages and all fitness levels. When I started, I never felt out of place despite being new to many of the class types. The instructors have shown me the proper form for certain exercises so I get the most out of my workouts. Remix has the most positive, motivating instructors I could ever imagine. I want others to experience this and enjoy the variety just as much as I do! 

6. When can we typically find you taking Remix classes?
I never miss The Remix Method class on Friday morning. It’s my most favorite class because it is a little bit of everything and a great way to kick off the weekend! 

7. What would you tell anyone that hasn’t tried Remix classes yet?
The first class is free! Come get a tour and try a class! Everyone has a different favorite class and the variety is what sets Remix apart from the rest!
