4 Ways to Beat the Heat & Exercise!

Hydrate!!

Okay, this is the MOST important tip we can give you. It’s so important to stay hydrated all year long, but especially during those summer months when it’s hotter. If you’re wondering whether all that sweat is a good thing, it is! Your sweat is your body’s way of cooling itself off. You need to make sure you’re drinking enough water to replenish your body from sweating.

Grab a refillable water bottle and be sure to fill up before, during or after class!

Dress for Success!

For the summer heat, you’ll want to make sure that you are dressing light. Sweat-wick material is preferred so you aren’t holding onto that sweat. If you’re outside, don’t forget to add on the sunscreen or a hat and sunglasses to protect your skin.

Choose the right time of day.

Back when we were teaching outside classes, when the Summer months hit, we made sure to move the classes to the early mornings and evenings. You want to avoid working out in the midday sun. That’s why you’ll find our Remix Run meetings in the mornings before the sun is high in the sky.

Head indoors

Now is a great time to find your mix inside in the air conditioning. You’ll still sweat it out, but you can do it in a safe way with the most amazing community.
