Check in With Your Winter Goals & Set New Ones

Did you set goals in January? If you have, how are you doing with those goals? Have you checked in with them yet? Have you completed forgotten about them?

The most important, yet often overlooked, pieces of setting goals is checking in with them again. We always recommend setting some kind of reminder for yourself. A new season is also an ideal time to check in with your goals and make some adjustments.

Do you need to modify those goals?

Do you need to create new ones?

Did you successfully complete your goals and deserve some time to celebrate? Sometimes we pass our goals and don’t even remember to celebrate those wins!

As always, we recommend creating SMART goals. SMART goals are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound.

Mix it up!

Yes, mixing it up usually comes up in pretty much all of our tips, but there’s a good reason! It’s really beneficial for your body and your mind. After the long, gloomy winter it’s nice to reset and recharge with a new season.

With the new season comes new opportunities. It’s a great time to try something new and mix things up!

  1. Mix it up when it comes to your workouts

    • Try a new class.

    • Try a new instructor.

    • Try a different time or maybe add an additional class into the mix.

  2. Challenge yourself.

    • Join one of our challenges like the Mixathon or Remix Reset

    • Pick up heavier weights or go or a double or try a class that’s a little out of your comfort zone.

    • Bring along a friend to help keep you motivated!

Get Up Earlier or Stay Later

We get more daylight with the new season. That means that it’s not so dark during those early morning classes or those evening classes. If you were struggling to get yourself up before, now is a great opportunity to work on your morning or evening routine.

Invest in Some New Gear

This tip is probably the most fun! Often times the simplest things can get you motivated, like a new, cute workout outfit. Go through your gear to see if you can repurpose or donate and freshen up your look so you’re feeling confident and excited walking into class.

What other ways do you have for spring cleaning your workout? We’d love to hear about them!
