As the owners and founders of Remix Fitness, we often forget that this question, “How do I know what Remix Fitness class to take first?” can be surprisingly difficult.
There are A LOT of fitness classes on the schedule. So, if you’re a newcomer, it can be slightly overwhelming looking at the schedule.
We are here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be!!
We understand that walking into a new place, especially a new fitness studio can be intimidating. We understand it because we’ve experienced the same thing. We’ve walked into gyms for the first time and felt that nervous, anxious feeling…
Am I going to look out of place? Is everyone going to look at me?
Will I know where to go and what to do?
What I make a complete fool out of myself?
All of those questions and feelings we’ve experienced ourselves and it’s why we have gone out of our way to make Remix a warm, welcoming environment for all who walk through our doors, whether you are a group fitness junkie or someone who is trying a class for the very first time.
That’s why we want to first and foremost reassure you that no matter what class you end up taking first on our schedule, you’ll feel welcomed and comfortable no matter what your level.

How Do I Know What Remix Fitness Class to Take First?
If you’re staring at the schedule wondering where to begin, we’ve got some tips for you…
First, since we know that trying a new fitness studio for the first time can be nerve-racking, we suggest finding times that work for you and your schedule so you don’t have to stress about making the time work.
For example, if you know that the best time for you to get to and take class is 9:30 AM, then you can narrow the “menu” of classes down by looking at the times. There’s no need to try to go to a time that most likely won’t work for you in the long run. It’s always better to set yourself up for success.
We are big believers in the importance of accessibility when it comes to your fitness class schedule, so we have lots of times for you to choose from. We also have childcare for most times, so if you’re looking for a class with childcare then be sure to take that into account.
Second, we suggest sticking with classes that are MOST in your comfort zone to start.
If you know you are someone who loves a bootcamp type class where the instructor will give you exercises and a certain amount of time, then head towards one of our bootcamp classes. If you’re someone who is more into the lower impact options, then stick with barre or pilates or sculpt classes. That way you are more familiar and comfortable going into it. Once you take your first class, then you can start to mix it up!
Finally, if you’re completely new and just want a little taste of everything, then come try one of our combination classes.
We’ve got quite a few combination classes on our schedule that put different types of workouts together like Cardio/Sculpt, Cardio/Barre, Barre/Bootcamp and more. Our Method class is our signature class that combines cardio, barre and sculpt for an incredibly efficient and fun workout!
Overall, there’s no wrong answer when it comes to deciding what class to pick first. The MOST important thing is that you pick A class and take it. That first step is often the most difficult part, but once you do, if you’re like so many others, then you are going to love and start planning out when you can take all the rest of the mix.
