Tips on How to Create Your Own Luck
Are you someone who considers themselves “lucky?”
Or do you know someone who is one of those lucky people? Do you wonder how you can become more like them? How can you create your own luck? Is it actually possible?
Well, if you’re someone who has never considered themselves “lucky” then you’re in luck (I couldn’t help it!) because we got some tips for you!
Tips on How to Create Your Own Luck
Mix it up!
You’re probably thinking, “Mixing it up can’t help with EVERYTHING!” Yet, it can! People who tend to identify themselves as lucky people are ones that put themselves out there. They are trying new things. They are meeting new people. When you put yourself out there, you are in a better position to win.
You can’t win if you don’t play the game after all!
A lot of our success we owe to the people we know. The people we have met along the way who have helped us along. We wouldn’t have met them if we didn’t put ourselves out there. It can be tough to do if you aren’t naturally someone who easily can connect with new people, but, like everything in life, the more you practice at it, the better you’ll be!
The good news is that mixing it up in the studio can help with that. When you try new things in a safe setting like Remix, then it’ll help open you up to stepping outside your comfort zone in other ways too.
Meet more people & connect with old friends
This goes along with the above- the more people you know, the more connections you’ll have and that’ll lead to more opportunities. As humans we gravitate towards the familiar, towards people we know. It’s always helpful to know someone!
The good news is that anyone can expand their social circle. How? Get out there and meet people!
Remix is a great space to meet new people. Or, connect with old friends. Social media has made it easier to stay in touch with friends. You can bring them along to Remix!
Don’t be afraid to fail
Are you someone who is afraid to fail so you don’t even try? When you hold yourself back from trying new things or going after opportunities because you are afraid to fail, you are holding yourself back from getting lucky.
Tell yourself that failing is normal. We learn from our failures. We grow from our failures. Someone of the most successful or “luckiest” people have had major failures in their lifetime. Think about Walt Disney and Steve Jobs. They had to fail to win. If you don’t take those chances, then you’ll never be able to even see if you’ll get lucky.
Remember to celebrate all the wins… even the small ones
Sometimes it’s all about perception. Are you a glass half full or half empty type of person?
When you take the time to acknowledge your wins, even when they are small, then it’s a lot easier to see the glass half full. If instead you are focusing on just the negative them it can be difficult to see the light and realize how truly lucky you are.
Work for it
Want to create your own lucky, go for it! You want to achieve your goals, write them down, create a plan, stay consistent and you’re going to get there. Instead of wishing and hoping that things will come to you, go for it.
