Take a look at what you are doing now
First, take a look at what you are doing now. If you are starting from scratch, any type of workout you do, that excites you, is a good one. If you are someone who sticks with the same thing over and over again, then now is a great time to try something new.
Now, you don’t have to completely change everything that you’ve been doing. Instead, small, gradually changes are the ones to have the most impact.
Say you are someone who has been running or walking, adding in a day or two of strength training a week would be a great way to mix it up.
Or, maybe you are someone who has been sticking with just barre or yoga, now be a great time to try out a bootcamp class or a spin class to get in some more cardio into your routine.
It can be something as simple as trying a new class or instructor or time.

There are lots of ways to mix things up to achieve your goals. Before you start mixing it up, it’s always a good idea to brainstorm and write down some SMART goals. SMART goals are goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound.
It’s also a good idea to get yourself in the right mindset. Our minds and bodies crave routine, but it’s also really good for our minds and bodies to be challenged so we keep growing, see progress and achieve our goals.
It can be challenge to step out of our comfort zone though.

Ultimately, the best way to mix it up is to gradually progress and step out of your comfort zone.
