3 Simple Strategies for Staying on Track with Your Diet During a Busy Season.

Though things aren't completely back to normal, the new season has brought along warmer weather and with it more outside sports, events and gatherings.

Is trying to prepare a healthy, home-cooked meal each night for your family the last thing you want to do on your crazy to-do list?

Well, you're in luck… We’ve put together three simple strategies for staying on track with your diet during a busy season.

3 Simple Strategies for Staying on Track with Your Diet During a Busy Season.

  • Plan ahead: When you have a plan, it's much easier to follow through than if you are trying to come up with a meal last minute. You know how they say, Don't go grocery shopping hungry? Well, it's best to not plan your plans out when you're hungry as well. If you're rushing around dropping kids off at their after school sports and you don't have a plan, the drive thru line is hard to resist. Sit down at the beginning of the week and take a few minutes to plan out your meals for the day.

  • Pre-portion snacks: Even healthy snacks like nuts can add up and become not-so-healthy if your portion sizes are off. That's why taking some time at the beginning of the week to portion out healthy snacks (e.g. raw cut up veggies, hardboiled eggs, fruit and nuts are some ideas) and make them readily accessible will help to keep you on the right track.

  • Outsource Smart: Finally, sometimes your schedule is just so busy that even with planning, making sure you have healthy meals on the table is a stretch. Instead of dialing up a not-so-nutritious take-out option, try outsourcing your meals with a healthy meal delivery service like My Chef. My Chef has delicious, healthy meals that your entire family will enjoy. Order each week by Wednesday and pick them up on Sundays at Remix or get them delivered right to your door.

Hope these tips help you stay on track with your diet despite your busy schedule. If you’re a member and haven’t scheduled your one-on-one with our registered dietitian Nicole yet, be sure to do that!

By the way... this week ONLY we are giving out $10 OFF your My Chef order for our members. Non-members can claim $5 OFF. Click here to check out the new menu and place your order by midnight tonight!
