Dr. Chris Goldberg Aims to Set Unofficial World Record by Completing 10 Fitness Classes in One Day at Remix Fitness

Plymouth Meeting, PA—On his 64th birthday, longtime fitness enthusiast and advocate Chris Goldberg(of Blue Bell) will attempt an extraordinary feat: completing 10 fitness classes in a single day (from 5 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.) at Remix Fitness in Plymouth Meeting on April 28, 2025. This ambitious challenge is not just about personal achievement but also serves as an inspirational message that age is no barrier to health and fitness.

Goldberg, who has been training rigorously for three years to accomplish this goal, has incrementally increased his endurance and strength by successfully completing seven, eight, and nine classes in a single day over the past three months. His training regimen includes a well-balanced fitness approach incorporating cardio, strength training, balance, core work, leg exercises, and mobility training through mat Pilates, Barre, lift, kickboxing, cycle, tabata, kettlebell, and Yoga classes at Remix, as well as sprint and distance training, and bodybuilding. His commitment to a healthy diet further complements his rigorous training schedule.

Adding to the significance of the day, Goldberg will use his break from his classes to co-teach a gym class to first graders at Ridge Park Elementary School (K-3) in nearby Conshohocken, reinforcing his dedication to advocating for youth fitness. As a retired teacher of 26 years who served as a month-term substitute in Physical Education at Ridge Park in the fall, he continues to instill the values of health and movement in the next generation, emphasizing that an active lifestyle starts at a young age. Goldberg, who was a technology and STEM teacher in Grades K to 8, still substitutes regularly at Ridge Park and other Colonial School District elementary schools.

To cap off his record-setting attempt, Goldberg will perform 64 pushups—one for each year of his life—to demonstrate that incredible fitness milestones can be reached at any age. His challenge is not just a personal mission but a call to action for seniors and individuals of all ages to set goals, stay active, and push their limits.

“This journey is about proving that fitness is a lifelong pursuit,” said Goldberg. “I want to inspire people of all ages, from 5-year-olds to seniors, to embrace movement, set ambitious goals, and never stop challenging themselves.”

Members of the community are invited to support Goldberg on this momentous day at Remix Fitness and cheer him on or join in on classes as he pushes the boundaries of physical endurance and dedication.
