I don’t know about you, but whenever the flowers start blooming, the baby bunnies start hopping around and spring rolls around, I get an itch to do a deep dive into all the mess filling my house.
Spring is a season of new life. It’s a fresh start.
After the particularly long, long, long winter we’ve had, this spring is the perfect time to clear out the dirt, clutter and wipe the slate clean.
Raise your hand if you are so ready to clear all the cobwebs away and get organized so you can have the focus and energy to accomplish more and achieve the results you crave.

While most of us immediately think about organizing our closets, cars or even kids’ toys when talking about Spring cleaning, there are other items in your life to spring clean that’ll be beneficial to your overall health and well being. Let’s dive in!
4 Items You’ll Want to Spring Clean Besides Your Home
Your diet:
If winter is often a time of comfort foods, Spring offers a fresh opportunity to clean up your diet.
-Try keeping a food diary to take inventory of your current diet and see where you can make some simple, healthier swaps. During our last nutrition challenge, our registered dietitian Nicole recommended writing down how you are feeling along with writing down what you are eating. Are you tired? Are you stressed? Try to slow down, enjoy and be more mindful of what you are eating.
-Add in more fresh fruits and vegetables. Complete each meal, including breakfast, lunch and dinner with vegetables. Love scrambled eggs? Toss in some peppers and spinach! Swap out those french fries for a delicious side salad. Be sure to check out our Remix Recipe Page for more ideas!
-Meet with someone who knows what they are talking about. With so much misinformation on the internet due to the fact that anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, why not go right to the source? Your workout routine:
How do you spring clean your workout routine? By mixing it up of course!
-Get organized and make a plan. If you’re a member, you can meet with Mary Cate and Tricia for a VIP call to discuss your goals and come up with a plan to get you there.
-Mix up the classes or times! Try a new class or new time to give you a little motivational boost. The nice weather is a great opportunity to join us for an outside class or take your virtual class with us outside.
-Challenge yourself. Don’t be afraid to pick up heavier weights or try a more advanced level in class. It’s important to listen to your body, but many often find that they are stronger than they realize.
Your schedule:
Have you been feeling a bit disorganized? Mixing up appointments or forgetting things? Then maybe it’s time to organize your schedule and your routine. Take some time before the beginning of the month to map out your schedule using a planner. You can pick up a Remix planner at the studio. Don’t forget to make time for self care!
-Book your classes ahead of time. You’ll get the nice reminder so you don’t forget and it’s a great way to hold yourself accountable.

Your wardrobe
