The storm was scary, the aftermath has been sad, but it’s been heartening to witness our community come together.
Our Remix community alone has raised well over $5,000 for families impacting by the storm and that doesn’t include all of the other clothes and blankets and house hold items that have also been dropped off over this past week and continue to be dropped off.
And it’s not just Remix.
All around us, our community has put in the time, the money and even the physically work to help clean up, rebuild and support our neighbors.
We’ve written about this in the past and we have talked about the importance of community often, but often times you don’t really get to appreciate how powerful and close knit a community can be until you’re faced with tough times. There’s a reason they always say, “tough times make you stronger.”
