How to Dress for Outdoor Workouts
The key to dressing and staying warm for outdoor workouts is all about layering. You want to dress in layers that can easily be taking off as you warm up (which you will).
You also want to dress for about 20 degrees warmer than you would if you weren’t working out in that temperature since your body will heat up as you workout.
Client Spotlight with Julie
I was always intimidated by the thought of group fitness classes. I worried about not being strong enough, fast enough, good enough. I thought it was something for fit people and I didn’t think that description matched me. However, once I tried Remix, I never once felt out of place. I remember talking to Tricia and Mary Cate before my very first class. They told me what to expect and offered various levels during class. After class, they checked in again and thanked me me for coming. All of my worries had disappeared as soon the class started.
Remix Client Spotlight with Barb
We just love Barb and love seeing all of her accomplishments she has made at Remix. She’s always a friendly face in class and we can’t get enough of her style and funny wit. She has lost 40 pounds since being at Remix so far and is stronger and has so much more energy. Thank you for being an amazing member, Barb. We love having you at Remix!
Join us for a Remixed March Madness- Finding our mix together.
Here at Remix we often talk about the importance of variety- mixing it up is our motto after all. There's no doubt that Remix has the mix of classes you need to get healthy, stronger, build your endurance, tone up and more. Whatever your fitness goals may be, we can help.
What about the motivation? Until spring comes (and let’s face it, even when spring comes), it can be a challenge to motivate yourself to stay healthy and workout. We can help with that too! Our smaller sized classes, welcoming staff and nonjudgemental, supportive community are here to hold you accountable, so you do achieve those goals.
When it comes to achieving results, it takes both variety and community. Fortunately for all of our Remixers out there, we offer both.
How To Modify & Find Your Level In Cardio Classes
One of the most frequent comments I get from people who haven’t tried Remix yet go a little something like this, “Oh, I need to get in shape for one of those classes.” For our cardio classes, people are even more apprehensive. “I don’t think I could do one of those classes. It’s not good for my knees.”
Why You Need Cardio & How You Can Get Enough
Cardio was something I used to dread. Long, boring hours at the same monotonous pace on the treadmill is what came to mind whenever I thought about cardio.
It wasn’t until I started getting into fitness, taking group fitness classes, earning my personal training certification, did I realize steady state cardio on the treadmill, elliptical or stationary bike is not the only way.
